The first time I tried a scone was approximately 9 and a half minutes after these came out of the oven. I always assumed scones tasted like an edible doorstop and ordered a cinnamon roll instead, but once I smelled them there was no way they were going to sit there taunting me for 15 minutes.
Laura in the Kitchen has yet to have failed me, so I preheated my oven to 400 degrees and tossed the 10 required ingredients into the mixer.
If you can make a skillet cookie, you can make these and likely have the ingredients sitting in your pantry. As with most pastries it is very important to work quickly and keep your butter cold, which is why I opted for triangle shaped rather than using a biscuit cutter and having to roll the dough out multiple times.
If you have any left the next morning, just pop one in the microwave for 15 seconds and enjoy.
