
The first time I had a homemade, well bakery made, oatmeal creme pie my husband and I grabbed one from Common Bond in Houston and he nearly crashed our car after taking the first bite. On the way home the next day I found a recipe on Pinterest, it only took 3 years and being trapped at home for 3 months for me to attempt the recipe.
My advice: DO NOT WAIT 3 YEARS!
For this recipe I used the original pin mentioned above from Sally’s Baking Addiction. The only modification made was subbing out dark brown sugar for molasses.
As an oatmeal creme pie connoisseur, I can attest these are the best I’ve ever tasted. Don’t know if I can grab a normal one out of the box ever again.
